About Us
Kairos Construction is owned and operated by James Mason, a licensed Master Plumber & Contractor. James has grown up in Botetourt County and began his plumbing journey in high school and he hasn't looked back since! The last decade he has gained countless hours of hands-on experience in plumbing and heavy equipment operating work, taken hours of classes and continued education, as well as obtaining his Journeyman and Master Plumber's Licenses, along with his Contractor's License. He is driven and dedicated to providing the highest level of service to his customers. His work is more than just a job to him, his customers aren't just customers - they're part of the Kairos family.
When he's not working, you will find James spending time with his wife, Abby (who you will likely interact with at some point whether in scheduling or via social media, as she helps James run the administrative side of the business). They recently welcomed a sweet baby girl into the family and are soaking up life as a family of 3. He also enjoys working on his truck, watching all things Star Wars, being outdoors, and serving in his church.
Our Vision
"Kairos"???
James' faith is the foundation for everything he does, including this business. His desire is to glorify God and serve others well through it. As many know, starting a business is no easy task - especially with all the licenses required, and doing so involved a lot of prayer and seeking the Lord's perfect timing.
When considering a name for the business, the word "Kairos" (pronounced like *Ky-ross*) was found translated from Greek into English in many passages in the Bible. It means "the right time" or "critical moment." One passage in particular that stuck out was Galatians 6:9-10 ~
'And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
As we have therefore opportunity,
let us do good unto all men...'
Our goal, as we serve our customers, is to be there for them at the critical moment when we are needed most and to go above and beyond in our service. A business founded on integrity and excellence.
Another goal of ours is to begin to partner with disaster relief organizations and other ministries that need skilled workers in plumbing and excavating to help people in crisis. Life is for serving others and we are striving to keep this attitude at the forefront of our business.
